A Taste of Treasure
a taste of treasure
Hurricane Dorian severely impacted residents of Abaco and the community that we care for so deeply. Homes were destroyed, lives were lost, and infrastructure was crippled. Additionally, the storm left an untold impact on the way of life so many people have lived in the region for so long.
As recovery from the storm continues, basic human needs still need to be met. Cleanup is progressing in Treasure Cay and in the surrounding communities from Cooperstown to Leisure Lee. But one big need that needs to be addressed on a continual basis is food for the community.
The Treasure Cay Community Group is proud to announce a new initiative called A Taste of Treasure: Meals for the people, by the people.
We are working to provide fresh, hot cooked meals to those in and around the Treasure Cay community. To kick off the program, we will serve a weekly meal by local featured chefs for community members at no cost to them. Our first community meal will feature Florence of Florence’s Bakery!
The Treasure Cay Community Group needs your help and support to provide weekly meals for our community. Please consider a donation listed below to contribute. Your donation will help purchase food and supplies to feed the community and provide a much-needed break and sense of normalcy while recovery continues.
